Surf Park Central is the largest news and media resource for surf parks, wave pools, and surfing outside the ocean. Our team is outgoing, self-driven, and passionate about sharing the stoke of surfing with others. Surf Park Central is seeking a entrepreneurial, driven marketing intern, who will be responsible for working with the director of marketing to manage social media, email marketing, PR and event coordination.
You’ll be responsible for:
– Developing marketing strategy and initiatives with our director of marketing
– Executing strategic direction for social channels (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter)
– Developing and executing email-marketing strategies
– Managing media outreach and public relations
Qualifications:
– 1 year hands-on marketing experience
– Strong social media skills
– Keen attention to detail
– Strong written/verbal communication skills and openness to collaboration
– Ability to work in a team and independently
– Strong listening skills and ability to follow directions
– Access to your own computer
– Must be able to travel to Pacific Beach

Surf Park Central is seeking an entrepreneurial, driven editorial intern, who will be responsible for working with the editor to develop and manage all in-house and cross channel written content.
You’ll be responsible for:
– Writing blog posts for our website and occasionally other online publications
– Developing unique article ideas and angles
– Building an in depth knowledge of the surfing and surf park industries
– Editing posts and generally aiding in the editorial process
Qualifications:
– 1 year of writing/editing experience
– Strong writing and grammar skills (English)
– Keen attention to detail
– Knowledge of and vested interest in surfing
– Openness to collaboration and taking/offering helpful criticism
– Ability to work with a team and independently
– Ability to follow directions
– Access to your own computer
– Must be able to travel to Pacific Beach
