Lindsey Jacobellis is one of the best snowboarders in the world. Having competed in the Olympics 4-times already, she’s accustomed to performing at the highest level with millions of people watching.
Jacobellis is also an avid and ripping surfer. Recently, Jacobellis decided to help 12-year-old shredder Darrin Shigei-Seat with his mental game, by taking him to the BSR Surf Resort in Waco, Texas, to run mock heats and simulate real life competitive moments.
Just one more way Surf Pools can be used to progress the sport forward. By simulating stressful situations on demand over and over, Shigei-Seat won’t crumble under real world pressure. It’s the same type of coaching Jacobellis had in the snow as a kid, and all it did was get her ready for the Olympics.
